A mixed weekend for Simmo at the tricky Oran park circuit. A good qualifying drive saw Simon start from 12th on the grid. A smart drive in race 1 gave the Aussiefast Team 10th position at the end of the race. Simon really got comfortable in race 2, he finished a personal best of 4th with a very quick drive. Starting from the 3rd row on the grid for race 3 Simon found himself in 2nd place for the 1st lap. After settling into 3rd place Simon made a costly error spinning the car at Suttons corner, he fell back to 28th. Race 4 started late on Sunday afternoon, Simon drove to a careful 9th place in the race that could only be described as dark with poor visibility. After all was said and done Simon finished 9th for the weekend, another top 10 result and again the quickest of the 'old' cars. 1st in the 'masters' championship is also handy for the championship. |
