Racing history: I learnt to ride a pee wee 50 when I was six, from then on I loved anything with an engine! I grew up in the country so I was able to have a bike and learn how to drive on farms etc.

I started racing motocross when I was 12, my first race was at Surfair Speedway in Moruya NSW, I finished 2nd. I raced motocross up until I moved to Canberra in 1993. After college and when I could afford it I purchased another bike and started racing again in 2000, I raced up until 2004. I competed in the local club and state level motocross championships for years, winning many races in the process. It wasn't until I broke my leg badly in 2003 that I considered fixing my appetite for speed with four wheels instead of two.

I had my first taste of competition in a car in 2004. A good friend asked me if I'd like to drive his Evolution Lancer with him in a hill climb, naturally I jumped at the opportunity and actually won the event.

I was again asked to drive the car in the 2004 NSW Dutton Rally, this rally was a Tarmac non navigational rally with the driver and the co-driver driving each stage one after each other. We won the rally outright, I also won 4 stages outright.

After a great result on my first rally I was asked to drive again, this time in the 2004 Victorian Dutton Rally. We again won the event outright, Although this time I was also the fastest driver outright.

Late 2004 I entered a competition called 'Chance of a Lifetime' Drivers compete in an elimination program on the race track in 5 states, in a one make series race car, in which all cars are prepared to equal standards and performance levels. The top 3 drivers move through to the finals in which the same process is used.

I made it through to the finals from the NSW elimintaions, I moved through to a pool of fifteen finalists. Out of the 15 drivers in the final I made it into the top 3, from there the 3 of us had a shoot out in the Lotus Elise's which are also a one make racing series. I finished 3rd, only to find out I set the quickest time of the day in practice.

In February 2005 I was lucky enough to get a wildcard entry to the Wakefield park round of the Lotus Elise championship, having just driven the cars in the chance of a lifetime competition I looked forward to the opportunity. I qualified the car in second position. Race one I cleared away for an easy win, race two and three were however not as easy. Two seconds finished out the day with a second overall for the weekend. I also broke the lap record for the Lotus Trophy at Wakefield park.

Why change when you’re on a good thing, so naturally we entered the 2005 Dutton rally series, comprising of 3 rounds, QLD, NSW and VIC.

The first round was held in April 2005 on the Gold coast QLD, Again we triumphed outright and again I was the fastest driver outright. Stages were held throughout the gold coast, we lapped QLD raceway which is handy as I now have a good feel for the circuit for round 4 of the Aussie Racing cars.

For the second round the rally headed to NSW for the biggest entry list in the events history, some 85 entrants competed in the three day rally. For the second year in a row we were victorious, winning no less then half the stages outright. Again I was the fastest driver outright for the weekend.

With the help of Aussiefast Transport Solutions, Pulford Racing, National Neon Signs, Belluci's Trattoria, Ouch Web Design, Edgars Inn and Inline Suspension I have also been campaigning an Aussie Legend in the Aussie Racing car National Championship. Results have been slow to come in the first 3 rounds, working with an old car has definitely shown its disadvantages. Our results and knowledge of car setup etc has steadily improved, In the 3rd round at Eastern Creek we broke into the top ten with 10th outright. I'm pushing for another top ten finish for the next round at QLD Raceway in late July.
