Late 2004 I entered a competition called 'Chance of a Lifetime' Drivers compete in an elimination programme on the race track in 5 states, in one make series race car, in which all cars are prepared to equal standards and performance levels. The top 3 drivers move through to the finals in which the same process is used.
Out of the 15 drivers that day I made it into the top 3, from there the 3 of us had a shoot out in the Lotus Elise's which are also a one make racing series. I finished 3rd, only to find out I set the quickest time of the day in practice. Simon assures it won't happen again next year.
